Kathy's father served in WWII as a medic. His PTSD was apparent and not yet named. He would call it Shell Shock, and that description never left Dr. Kathy's mind. 
PTSD can be a cause of pain that is difficult for our Western MD's to treat as there really is nothing in their medicine which will work. TCM and acupuncture can be a unique service here. This is a rare study that follows organic food eaters in a large population of french adults. The study answers the simple question is eating organically able to lower your risk for cancer? The study says yes, by 25% particularly with the breast cancers.

The clinic has been reminding me this week, just how many of us suffer actual physical illness from stress. Stress puts everything out of balance which is a prescription for trouble within the body. So how can Acupuncture help? I have listened to many patients remark about the peaceful feeling they get as a benefit of being treated with needles and herbal formulas. There is something to that!
In a 2017 science daily article, stress was blamed for organ dysfunction in the stomach causing neuro circuits of the brain to misfire and possibly cause fatal Heart failure. (This is a simplified explanation. Please see article below for a more in depth understanding.)
